These rules are designed for campaigns with a pool of players where a subset of them play each week as their schedules permit. The commonsense assumption behind these rules is characters should have the same character level and wealth level at the start of each session. It's the only way to be fair to players that can't play as frequently as others.
General Rules
- Common remaster options and items are allowed. Legacy, uncommon and rare options and items must be approved by the GM.
- No PvP. This includes stealing from or hiding loot from other characters.
- All loot will be given to the patron at the end of the mission. There will be no exceptions.
- The patron pays all living expenses for all character in the campaign.
- There will be no downtime crafting except for specific abilities required by a class. For example, Inventors needing to replace a destroyed innovation.
- You can buy items for your character at times indicated below at standard prices.
Before the Campaign Starts
- All characters start at level two.
- Starting treasure for all characters is 30gp. You can use this gold to equip your character.
- All new characters and initial equipment must be reviewed by the GM before you can play in a session.
Level Up
- Players will level up on the 1st of each calendar month after the campaign begins.
- At each level up, reset your character's wealth to the amount shown in the Lump Sum column of the Treasure for New Characters table for their new level (see https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2662&Redirected=1). Think of it as if your character is entering the campaign fresh at the new level. You can freely add and remove items from your inventory as long as you stay within the allowed wealth amount. If you're below the limit, add currency to reach it. As always, uncommon and rare options must be approved by the GM.
Sessions
Player Selection
- Players must express interest in a session 48 hours before it is schedule to begin by posting to the #session-interest channel. The channel will be cleared at the end of each play session.
- If you express interest in a session, make sure you can attend. Life emergencies do happen so please post notice that you cannot attend as soon as possible. If you miss two sessions you signed up to attend without reasonable notice or reason, you will be removed from the player pool.
- If more than the max number of players for a session expresses interest (generally five), preference will be given to those that have played the least number of sessions out of the previous four. Ties will be broken by a GM dice roll.
